Itinerary

Day 1

ARRIVAL COLOMBO

Arrive to Colombo International Airport for meet and greet. Transfer to your hotel in Colombo and enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel in Colombo on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Day 2

COLOMBO – NEGOMBO – WILPATTU – ANURADHAPURA (235km – 5 hrs)

In the morning, depart early around 05:00 hrs to visit Anuradhapura via Negombo. En route, stop to explore the wilderness of Wilpattu National Park. Enjoy a Jeep safari journey through the national park. After the safari, enjoy lunch in Anuradhapura. After, experience the Sacred City of Anuradhapura in the evening hours, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to the hotel in Anuradhapura for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

ANURADHAPURA – TRINCOMALEE – DAMBULLA (220km – 4 hrs)

Morning venture to Mihintale rock to enjoy the serenity atop. Breakfast en route. Afterwards, proceed to Trincomalee, visiting the historical Kantale Dam. On arrival to the coastal town of Trincomalee, walk around the old Dutch Fort and visit the Koneswaram temple, one of the most significant Hindu temples in Sri Lanka. Lunch in the city. After lunch, proceed to board a boat to Pigeon Island to feel the ocean breeze. Afterwards, head south to Dambulla to experience the cave temple and other attractions. Dinner and overnight stay in Dambulla.Overnight at hotel in Dambulla/Habarana on a half-board basis. Lunch included.

Day 4

DAMBULLA – COLOMBO (165km – 4 hrs)

After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya rock fortress and climb atop the ancient rock citadel. Continue to Colombo after lunch with approximate drop-off time at 17:00 hrs at your hotel in the Colombo city area.  Breakfast and lunch included.
