Itinerary
Day 1
Arrival in Dublin
Travel from Dublin to Limerick by train through the lush countryside of Co. Kildare. Enjoy a brief city tour of Limerick by coach before heading to Bunratty Castle, an authentic medieval fortress, and Folk Park. We then make our way the Cliffs of Moher, some of the highest sea cliffs in Europe. Enjoy exploring the dramatic coastline before we set off on the coast road back to Galway, stopping for plenty of photo opportunities along The Burren, a unique lunar landscape. Pass through quaint villages before arriving into Galway. You are free to spend the evening as you wish; with a huge selection of traditional bars and restaurants, you won’t be short of options.
Day 2
City Tour and Departure
After breakfast at the hotel we depart from Galway towards the village of Moycullen. The road weaves its way towards the lovely village of Oughterard on the shores of Lough Corrib before reaching the gateway to Connemara. A vivid unspoilt landscape opens up in front of you as we drive by Maam Cross, Leenane, Kylemore Abbey and Letterfrack, in the shadow of undulating purple mountains rolling down to blue and green valleys. Heading back towards Maam Cross we also pass Screeb, Costello and Rossaveal, eventually leading back to Galway City, and then Dublin.
