MADRID - MADRID PAELLA, TORTILLA & SANGRIA COOKING EXPERIENCE
Start the day with breakfast at the hotel and then head out to explore busy streets of Madrid. Enjoy some free time in the morning to get a feel for the city by yourself. Our cooking experience starts in the afternoon (exact time will be advised few days before arrival) at the cooking school at Mercado de Torrijos, 2nd floor, General Díaz Porlier, 8 (Metro station Goya). Once you arrive to the school, there will be a specialized English speaking chef welcoming you and teaching you how to cook Paella, Tortilla, Sangria, wine paring and more. After taking this class you will be ready to prepare these most famous Spanish recipes at home. You will cook these dishes yourself with the aid of the expert chef, in a small group. At the beginning you will visit fresh food stalls on the Torrijos Market (Mercado de Torrijos), where the chefs will give you plenty of tips on picking local, seasonal products. Then you can start cooking dishes like Paella, Spanish omelet (Tortilla), Andalusian salad, Sangria, all while enjoying & learning about Spanish cuisine. After you have prepared your dishes, the dégustation part starts, together with the wine paring with different Spanish wines. Before leaving, your instructor will give you a recipe card so that you can re-create the food yourself at home to impress friends and family!
