Following breakfast, drive to the famous historical Cu Chi Tunnels. They were dug by the Viet Cong during the Vietnam War (or ‘American War’ as it’s referred to here). These tunnels ran directly under military bases and were used as shelters, protection against American air raids and for conducting surprise attacks. If you’re feeling adventurous, get on all fours and crawl through selections of the tunnels to get a better feel of what life was like for the Vietnamese soldiers during wartime. Wake up to breakfast at the hotel and depart by road from Saigon to the Mekong Delta. Discover the lush beauty of this stunning natural landscape as you wind your way down narrow canals on a sampan that glides amongst fruit orchards, paddy fields and sleepy villages. Visit a floating market and see vendors display the delta’s bounty of fruits and vegetables on their boats. However, although busy selling and buying, they will never forget to throw you happy smiles and wave at you. Spend the night aboard the boat, gliding serenely on the waters of the delta. Overnight aboard cruise in Mekong Delta on full-board basis.

Wake up and enjoy breakfast on board. Then continue cruising the Mekong Delta to marvel at this site’s morning beauty until heading back to the wharf, where your vehicle will be waiting to take you back to the city. Upon arriving in Ho Chi Minh City, the rest of the day if for you to spend at your leisure further exploring this bustling city or going on a last-minute shopping spree in the old-fashioned Rue Cartinat.
