Visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of the beloved national hero, Uncle Ho – and President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house where he lived off and on from 1958 to 1969.

Itinerary

Day 1
HO CHI MINH – ARRIVAL
Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Hanoi driver meet and transfer you to the hotel ( check - in time at 14:00hrs, early check - in is not inclusive and subject to the availability ).

Day 2
HO CHI MINH – CU CHI TUNNELS – CITY TOUR
Morning: Take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office.  Afternoon, Depart for Cu Chi tunnel, the trip will take approximately one and a half hours bus driving. Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short introduction followed by introductory video about how the tunnels were constructed and how the people survived in the harsh conditions of the war time. Then, spend your time to explore the remaining area and tunnel systems which included the special constructed living areas with kitchens, bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs. Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for security purpose during the war. Afterward, special tea and cassava (guerilla’s food during the war) will be served.  Break time for relax or time for those who want to try the real shooting gun.

Day 3
HO CHI MINH – MEKONG DELTA
Leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River. Boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands .  
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation.  Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.  Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time. In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoy cool breeze for those can’t join the cycling trip.

Day 4
HO CHI MINH – FLIGHT TO HANOI – CITY TOUR
Return to Ho Chi Minh City, driver pick you up to the airport for domestic flight to Hanoi. Arrival in Noi Bai international airport, meet our driver and transfer to hotel for checking in and taking a rest.  Afternoon: take you to visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex, which includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum – the final resting place of the beloved national hero, Uncle Ho – and President Ho Chi Minh’s stilt house where he lived off and on from 1958 to 1969. You’ll also the Ho Chi Minh Museum where you can learn about this remarkable man and what he did for Vietnam and the world. Then, you’ll visit the One Pillar Pagoda, which is actually a group of structures that collectively make up a pagoda built over the water in the middle of a square lake. Afterwards, you’ll visit Hoan Kiem Lake, the heart and soul of Hanoi.

Day 5
HANOI– HALONG BAY WITH OVERNIGHT ONBOARD OF CRUISE
As an UNESCO World Heritage site, Ha Long Bay is the most famous destination in Vietnam, and it becomes a must see place in tourist’s eyes once they come to Vietnam. The bay covers more than 1500 square kilometers with thousands of limestone islands , which is unique and no words to describle the beauty of Ha Long Bay 

7.45-8.15:  Pick-up at the hotel. (Note: this time applied for those who book our shuttle bus service) 

10.00:  Having short break at stopover in Hai Duong Province. 

12.00 – 12.30: Embark on Lavender Cruise followed by a short cruise briefing and enjoy welcome-drink. Check in the cabin. 

13.15:  Enjoy lunch with sampling regional fresh seafood while cruising on exquisite water, passing Incense Burner Island, Fighting Cock islet, Stone Dog… Lavender Cruise will bring you to explore Ha Long Bay on the most wonderful route where just a few cruises go through.  

15.00-16.30     

     • Do kayaking through the magnificent landscape with Limestone Mountains in Luon Cave, visit Titop Island and swimming or just relaxing          on the sun-deck for fantastic views at The Bay 
     • Back to Lavender Cruises and join sunset party • Pass by Soi Sim Beach, “Rang Dua” Island to sleeping area near The Surprising cave. 
     • Join our Cooking Class in the restaurant. Let’s see how to make the fresh/fried spring rolls and mix fishsauce. 

19.30: Under the magnificent night sky, our set-menu dinner is served with a variety of Vietnamese and Asian foods. Evening activities: 
     • Join squid fishing on boat with our crews. You can enjoy the squid cooked with assistance from our chef, Playing card, karaoke…. 
     • Overnight on Lavender Cruises 
Day 6
HALONG BAY - HANOI
06.15: Morning exercises on the Sun-deck. 07.15: Have breakfast with Coffee, tea and Bakeries on board. 

08.00: Visit the Surprising Cave (Hang Sung Sot) discovered by the French in 1901. Opened for tourists since 1936, now it is a must-to-see and a symbol for geology value of Halong. 

09.30: Check out time. Then relax on the sun-deck or inside the restaurant to enjoy the bay’s scenery. 

10.15: Enjoying a traditional Vietnamese lunch while cruising back to the pier. 

12.00: Check out cruise. Our car will be at your disposal to pick you up then drive back to Hanoi. 

16.30 – 17.00 : Arrive in Hanoi, check in hotel and take a rest.
