Day 1 Your small group youth adventure tour begins with an air-conditioned coach journey from Cairns to Port Douglas along the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia’s most scenic coastal drives. Get up close to a range of iconic Australian animals in their recreated natural environments at the award-winning Wildlife Habitat Port Douglas. Explore four unique ecosystems; rainforest, wetlands, savannah and woodlands. Hand-feed wallabies and kangaroos get up close with giant emus and brave the world’s first Predator Plank over Estaurine Crocodiles. See local endangered species including the Southern Cassowary and the Lumholtz’s Tree Kangaroo. You can even cuddle a koala and get a photograph to remember the occasion! Cross the mighty Daintree River on the cable-driven ferry and journey along beach-fringed roads into the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest and up to Cape Tribulation. Upon arrival at Cape Tribulation, enjoy a Tropical Lunch. Visit Cape Tribulation Beach and see the point where two world heritage sites, the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Rainforest, meet. Check into your accommodation at Cape Trib Beach House and enjoy an afternoon of free time at your leisure. Situated right next to the beach, this funky resort has a bar, bistro, rainforest pool and more. Meals at own expense. Day 2 Enjoy a free morning in Cape Tribulation to enjoy optional activities such as a Great Barrier Reef Tour, Jungle surfing, horse riding and more! Or just relax and enjoy the serene scenery. Journey into the world’s oldest rainforest on a guided rainforest walk. Your guide will teach you about some of the incredible flora and fauna that makes the Daintree Rainforest so unique. With towering fan palms and creeping vines to name a few, this place is perfect for photo opportunities. Depart from Cape Tribulation and enjoy some comfort stops along the way. Marvel at endless views of the rainforest sweeping out to the mouth of the Daintree rainforest and the Coral Sea at Alexandra Lookout.

Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival
7:00am Commence pickups from Cairns accommodation. 7:45am: Depart Cairns. Travel to Port Douglas via the Captain Cook Highway, one of Australia’s most scenic coastal drives. 8:05am: Commence pickups from Port Douglas accommodation. 8:45am: Arrive at The Wildlife Habitat. See endangered cassowary and other wildlife, with the opportunity to have your photo taken holding a koala, snake or crocodile (extra cost). 10:15am: Depart Wildlife Habitat. 11:00am: Cross the Daintree River on the cable-driven ferry. Travel along the rainforest-fringed Cape Tribulation Road through Daintree National Park, a magnificent wilderness region. 12:15pm: Arrive at Cape Trib Beach House for a Tropical Lunch, then check in to your accommodation at Cape Trib Beach House to enjoy the rest of the afternoon at your leisure. 1:15pm: Depart accommodation and visit Cape Tribulation Beach and Boardwalk for a guided rainforest walk with great photo opportunities. DINNER AND OTHER FOOD AND BEVERAGES ARE AT OWN EXPENSE
Day 2
End of Tour
Morning free to enjoy optional activities such as reef tours, Jungle Surfing, horseriding, seakayaking, bush walking, or just relax. 2:25pm: Depart Cape Tribulation for return journey, with some comfort stops along the way. 3:35pm: Stop at Alexandra Lookout for magnificent views. 4:00pm: Depart north side of river for the Daintree River Cruise. Search for crocodiles, birds and other wildlife as you journey through the mangroves. 5:00pm :Arrive south-side of river. 6:00pm: Arrive at Port Douglas accommodation. 7:00pm: Arrive at Cairns accommodation. Meals are at yor own expense
