Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival
Kathmandu /Lhasa ( KTM is 1200 m above sea level, Lhasa is 3650 m. Soit needs some time to acclimatize the altitude.)
Day 2
Sera monastery , Jokhang temple & Barkhor Street
( Sera is the biggest Gelupa Monastery in the north suburb of Lhasa , which was built in 1419 by Tsongapa,s disciple- Sakya- Yesti. Situated at the heart of the oldest section of the Lhasa city, Jokhang one of the oldest temples in Tibet , was built in the 7th century by The 33rd king- Sontsanganbu. Barkor is the middle pilgrimage circuit Around Jokhang temple.)
Day 3
Potala palace, Norbulingka Drepung monastery
(Potala was the winter palace of the Dalailama, which was originally built in the 7th century by the King Sotsen Gampo and rebuilt to the present size by the 5th Dalailama , Norbulingka , the Jewel Park was the Dalailama,s summer palace , it covers 100 acres with palaces, pavilions And a Zoo. Built in 1416 by Tsongapa’s disciple- Jamyang –choje , Drepung Monastery is the biggest Gelupa monastery in the west suburb of Lhasa.
Day 4
Drive Lhasa to Gyantse Gyantse hotel
( Gyantse lies 260 kms southwest of Lhasa on the Northern bank of Nyang (Chu River. It takes around 8 hours to reach Gyantse crossing the Kamba Kamba Karola Pass (5010m) where the year – around glacier will be seen. Gyantse has been known as a heroic town since Tibetans resisted the Young Known as a heroic town as a heroic town since Tibetans resisted the Young Resisted the Young husband’s British Expedition to Tibet in 1904 .)
Day 5
AM : Visit Gyantse kumbum & Pelkor Chode

PM: Drive to Shigatse with Tashilunpo monastery Shigatse htl ( Shigatse is the second biggest city in Tibet, 90 KMS away from Gyangtse. The famous Tashillunpo monastery in Shigatse, seat of the Panchan Lama, one of the important Gelupa monasteries Lama, one of the Six important Gelupa monasteries in China, was in 1447 by the first Dalailama.)
Day 6
Drive to Tsedang via Samye monastery Tsedang hotel
(It is 340Kms from Shigatse to Tsedang.It takes about one and half hour to reach Samye monastery by crossing the Yarlung Tsampo river on a ferry. Built in the 8th century by an Indian Buddhist master –Padhamsambhava, Samye monastery was designed on the plan of Odantpuri temple, covering a total of 25000 square meter of land.)
Day 7
The King’s tomb , YumbuLhakhang & Chamzhu
(The Kings tomb is 70 KM from Tsedang town in the Chonje valley. Yombulakhang, the first palace for the first king in Tibetan history, Is 15 KM away from Tsedang town. The mountain slope palace was Originally built in the second century, but the replica was rebuilt in The 1980s. Built in the 7th century by the king Sontsan Gambu, Chamdrok is on of the oldest in Tibet, 4 KM away from the Tsedang hotel.)
Day 8
Departure
Departure from Lhasa/Kathmandu to catch onward flight
